Welcome to the San Antonio Nonprofits in Action Community Calendar
San Antonio is a city fueled by generosity, compassion, and community spirit but we continue to face deep-rooted challenges, from poverty and food insecurity to housing instability, education gaps, and health disparities. Nonprofit organizations play a critical role in addressing these issues, yet they often face growing demands with limited funding and resources.
In 2020, in response to this growing need and the scheduling chaos caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the San Antonio Business Journal, The CE Group and Pear Analytics partnered together to launch the Community Calendar. It was designed to give nonprofit leaders and funders a central tool to better plan, promote, and align events during a time of disruption.
Now, in collaboration with The Nonprofit Council and with generous support from the Kronkosky Foundation, we’re excited to relaunch this tool in Fall 2025 with new features, greater reach, and a renewed purpose.
Why This Calendar Matters
Nonprofits pour tremendous effort into creating mission-driven events from galas, luncheons, walkathons, concerts, festivals, and more. As our city’s events calendar becomes increasingly crowded, one of the biggest challenges is scheduling and donors, funders, and media can only be in so many places at once.
This platform exists to:
- Increase visibility for nonprofit events across the San Antonio community
- Prevent scheduling conflicts by offering a shared planning resource
- Connect nonprofits with businesses, foundations, and individuals who want to support local causes
- Strengthen collaboration and strategic giving across the region
